I am a Feltmaker and Artist from England.I have been working with felt for 13 years making sculptural clothing and wall hangings.
I first learnt to felt when i was 21 from a boyfriends mother in Italian Switzerland (ticino),an incredible and inspiring textiles artist and felt maker” Sophie Prieur ” ….i apprenticed with her helping her make pieces of felt for big couture fashion houses such as Versace , Fendi, Marni and Jean Paul Gaultier…I fell in love with this magical technique and we laughed so much!! with her encouragement and constant support of my own creative journey I gained the confidence in myself as an artist! I have always been a painter and so the discovery of felting lead me into being able create textural pieces of art and clothing in a new medium!
