The founder, Agnes Leggett, is a French born lifelong knitter who has been in love with Bermondsey for nearly 20 years now.

Her amazing creations for both children and adults are all designed and made by her using high quality yarns.

Agnes also provides knitting tuition and knitting kits for beginners.

Lambsie ChildrenswearLambsie

Lambsie is a small, family business who create truly unique handmade baby coats.
Created using pre-owned, woollen garments, with quality cotton linings in floral or novelty prints. (Liberty, Cloud9 and Riley Blake fabrics are often used).
The wool used on all Lambsies is hot-washed before being cut and sewn, ensuring it won’t shrink when you put it in the wash.
A whole lot of love goes into their work and you’ll have something that nobody else has!

Kato

Yuiko Kato spent her youth wondering, getting lost and exploring.
After studying Graphic Design in London, she discovered that her two daughters had introduced her to an amazing world of sewing!

Kato is Japanese and fortunate enough to visit Japan, where she purchases a variety of quality fabrics.   Making occasional trips to markets and vintage shops in London gives her plenty of inspiration to keep going and sewing beautiful children’s clothes.

We hope you can see her love for KATO creations and that you will find something special for that special someone. xx

WOW!! Bermondsey Fayre have come runners up after Maltby Street Market! Time Out #Lovelondon awards!!

THANK YOU ALL FOR VOTING FOR US!! WE HAVE BEEN AWARDED THE RUNNERS UP POSITION IN TIME OUT #LOVELONDON AWARDS AND THE WINNERS WERE THE MASSIVE MARKET MALTBY STREET! SO WE ARE SO CHUFFED!!!!

It feels like an acknowledgement of what we intended right from the start to create a community space full of a whole lot of love!!

I had this great reminder this week from FB – of a call out I wrote 7 years ago –

“Calling all creative artists, artisans, conscious creators… new shop opening in up and coming area of Bermondsey St, London Bridge – will be a ‘fayre’ encompassing all arts from independent traders- some call these things a ‘lifestyle shop’ – if you have anything you like to sell- that is made with love-get in touch – it will begin with air of xmas market…. drop me a line…asap…”  and here we are nearly at our 7th birthday!!

It was so amazing to be reminded of the intention we sent out then and to know we are still sending out the same intention despite evolving in unexpected ways – with so many more creative artists than I could ever have imagined, promoting more and more ethical and sustainable fashion as well as gifts and creating a yoga community that just keeps growing!

On 2nd December 6-9pm we are celebrating our 7th Birthday and  I am so excited to share an evening with you all with discounts, bubbles and more unexpected elements yet to be confirmed!email me if you can to say you are coming along so I have an idea of numbers.. info@bermondseyfayre.com xx
