Bermondsey Fayre would like to wish you all a wonderful festive season – as we pass the Winter Solstice and the sun begins to return for longer each day – may you all be filled with new inspiration and hope to bring your dreams into reality.  We would like to thank all of you who have been such a vital part in making Bermondsey Fayre become a growing creative community and we look forward to many more connections with you all in 2012!

Recycled Candle Workshop 5

        Recycled candle workshop     

for

Christmas

Christmas is upon us and what better way to keep your Christmas ‘carbon-neutral’ than to make your own gifts. In this workshop we will be making floating candles made from old bits of candles (please do bring along your candle and wax crayon remnants) and then wrapping them in recycled delights (please bring along any beautiful catalogues/Sunday magazines to make simple origami boxes).

This will hopefully be the start of a monthly craft workshop at Bermondsey Fayre with Sarah Houghton – keeping it seasonal with a recycled twist! The next one in January we will also be working with wax – dipping candles to celebrate the midpoint of Winter.

When: Wednesday 14^th December – 7. 30 to 9 pm

Where: Bermondsey Fayre 212 Bermondsey Street SE1 3TQ 

Cost of workshop: £10  (25% of fee will be donated to the Waldorf School of SW London new building fund).

We are all looking forward to welcoming you along the street for Mulled wine, mince pies and some festive treats!

What a wonderful day of sharing the delights of the street with new and familiar friends of the Fayre. We all had a wonderful time meeting and greeting new visitors amidst their day’s activities of fashion show, dogs show and visiting the farm animals and sipping wine out on the street.

There were so many wonderful activities happening on the Bermondsey Street – though I didn’t personally make it beyond the 5 metre radius in front of the shop!

We were very excited to launch the new product Adore – Nature in a Jar with Alexandra Nodes who created Adore being with us for the day offering wonderful samples and sweet aromas to the shop.

Adore was a huge success and continues to be a resident on our shelves in the shop – come take a peak
